WELL i have had a bit of a mojo spurt (at the end of )this month .......and this is what has surfaced .......

omg i even made some cards (what is doing with that !!!). Also i have made 5 wall hangings for a donation for a "big girls night in" fundraiser...will have to chase these cause i din't take any pics ...

i have no idea what just happened .....but my whole post went walkabout =/ ... so here is to it again ....

this is a gift i have made for a friends little girl. It was her first birthday ..... it is about 40cm x 15cm 12cm ....

i am blessed to live in north Queensland ..and when we have our wet season this is what the side of roads look like when you're heading up the gillies to the markets ..... i love the waterfalls ....so i did a double lay out .....

this is a layout that i come up with from the pp pack and the retreat photo which were attendance gifts ....i love these papers

My boss was telling me that she has recipes that are loose in a book and it was driving her nuts ...so this is what i made for her ...and i think she really likes it ...cause it is nearly full

ok.... thank you to a few who were proding me to get my phatassphairy wings into gear ......i thought i had beter do an update ...not that there has been much going on ....i have been a bit cut up in life litterally (i am sporting a lovely 25cm scar to send straight to the pool room) ...but am pretty much on the mend and back to normal well as normal as one can get when you live in the tropics .....which a tip for visitors ..make sure you have tight elastic in ya knickers cause if you cross winds like cyclone yasi y'all gunna lose them =)

now i am feeling an itch in the mojo atm ...so hopefull it will not be long between updates .....for now this is where i am at... and brace yourself ..i have done 2 cards....

this a double lay out that i tackled ...i think it turned out quite groovy esp cause these are not really my colours. (not that i fall into a certain type of scrapper ....but i tend to favour bright stuff) this lay out is sooo cute the glitter is just so delicious ...tis better in the flesh

well dust off the dust ....i pulled out my chalks and added some colour to some natural chippies ....something i had not done in a while .....not sure why i don't seem to do this much ...might have to try and rekindle my relationship with chalks =)

I may have even posted this one already ...but i ordered in the puffy lettering to match my cherries .......i just dig the colour of these thickers =)

a challenge at the scrapbookcapital retreat .........had an awesome time

This page if made on Scrap Scraps ......got to love the mover and shaker L.O to stir up the stagnet stash. But this lay out is kimda special ...cause i have actually got my ole lover to use his hand writting to fill in the journalling tag. I figure, the kids will have plenty of my hand writing so i think it is kinda special to now have his =)

Very monochromatic ......but i love it ...i have used my latest toy ...my Irock ....some of the bling on this page is purely from me and my swirly mojo =)

i opened my blog the other day ...and nearly fell off my chair ....geeeezzzz has it been that long?

well you had better brace your self ....cause i set myself a personal goal to scrap 100 pages each year ..and to date i am at 74 "eeeeek" so i have to put my ass down and mojo cap on and get a wriggle on ......ummm but i have just packed up the car and taking skid lids to Aloomba for a swim .....but i guess tire and tame the animals and i will get a good sprint on the scrapping front ....will grab cooked chook and premade salads for dinner ....so i am going to get my juices flowing =) and grab a couple of mags on my way out ....

Stay tunned cause this blog is about to go into oVeRlOaD >.< =P

Here is the lastest for my mojo

this is a lay out that i have taught at LSS scraptherapy.com.au..... i have made a couple of different flowers ...the doily flower which was based on a flower technique which was shared by Kate ...thanks kate =)

also at wicked princesses i did their CC challenges which were based on an eighties theme for the weekend ...this first challenge was to use madonna (from the 80's) as inspiration ..and to use a title of one of her songs ...what do you think??? madonna-erish????
the next one was to use the Rubik's cube as inspiration .... i dusted off the ole making memories foam shape stamps ...and used the colours from the cube .....
then next challenge was to use a title of a song from an 8o's hit ...so i used a billy idol song ....
the next one was take something fashionable from the 80's .....hehehe you guessed it ..i went with fluro.......
this is a sketch challenge for scrapbookcapital ....and i loved it so much i did it again ....
but just with a different set of colours =)

Sorry it has been so long ...i have been a bit busy with the real world ....but lets just say i have popped back into my normal routine ....there has not been alot of scrappin ,,,but i will post what i have done T.F.L

Firstly though ....my cyber Sista Maria shared her awesome recipe with me ...and i had a bash and made it .....this is what it looked like ...and yep it tastes as good as it looks .....guess how long it lasted in my camp?

Also while we are talking food this is a chicken and vegie soup i made one night out of left overs ....and it was so yum ..i thought i had better take a pic ..cause i might scrap it later ...lol

Well here is to clinking the glasses .....THE MOJO IS ALIVE ...AND I AM LOVING IT ...just not enough hours in a day for me to do the mum jobs, the house jobs, the work jobs ..and for me to scrap the hours that i would like too ....i have been a little naughty and pulling a few 2 am ishes and having to get up to go to work in the morning lucky i have a cruisy job .....but no rest for the wicked they say =)

but anyway here are the latest for the moment

this one of my dad would have to be my favourite ...maybe it is an emotional attachment ...but i just love the ernergy i feel when i look at it ...i will fly by poppa bears and get the journaling done ...i would hate to get the wrong dates ...so that is why there is a blank

This is a pic for a task that i was doing on scrapbook capital...it was spose to be a self portrait...when i started to think about me and or what is me or what represents me ....i just couldn't think of anything that is just me ...cause where ever i am i always have my husbands heart, soul and energies surrounding me and where there is me ....there is him ...=) .....so to be myself in a true form ...is just like this ...when two pebbles are thrown into the pond of life, by some strange force they land in the exact same spot making one splash with a perfect entry into the future with out any ripples .......this is us

this was a challenge for scraptherapy ...it was about recycling ......so i have recycled a white potato bag, stamps, lucky ticket, i have used a D.Coke lid for the paint stamp, i have used scrap letters ans the S and the Y in the title are actually numbers that i have turned a 5 upside down and chopped the top off the 9 to make my Y

of i love this ...the up load does not do it justice ....these are the new prima velvet flowers ...and i just love the softness of my feathers .....i just can't get it to give it justice ....oh well =/

I did a bit of spring cleaning ...and ombg i fold this blind and naked swap .......so i rushed to it and got it finished ...giggles ...this is one of those things that you just pop over there for save keeping ....and it just gets lost in the mojo mess

I have been doing blind scraps for scrapbudz as part of their DT .....and they're going to become a monthly thing .....the next one is on the 8th of July. Here is the link if you want to sign up and join on in

and the list of ingredients for this months blind challenge

Ingredients
12 x12 main Colour cardstock (i.e. yellow)
12 x 12 contrasting cardstock (i.e. purple)
12 x 12 paler tone, but same colour as contrasting colour cardstock
(i.e. Lavender)
12 x 12 patterned paper in same tones as Main colour cardstock (i.e. yellow)
12 x 2in 2nd patterned paper in similar tones as the main colour cardstock
(i.e. mustard)
A trimmed photo 5 ½ in x 5 ½ in
(No smaller than 4 in by 4 in)
A patty paper...(ie green)
Great if you can get a coloured one …but it doesn’t matter if you can only get white
4 safety pins (mine are about 1 ½ inches)
About a 1 m of ribbon (something to match your patty paper colour)
A 5 in x 5 in piece of cardboard (I have used a bit of pizza box)
12in of ric rac in the same colour as contrasting colour cardstock (ie purple)
Uppy tape (foam tape)
Decorative scissors
20 cent piece
Needle and hand embroidery thread in main colour (ie yellow)
Alphabet
PVA glue optional

It's time again2009 DT call Scrapbook Capital is in search of a new Designer Team.It has been wonderful to have Sharon, Tracy and Hetty apart of my team and great to see there awesome work over the past 12 months. Thank you girls, not only have you been there for me and the site you have been an inspiration to many others so big hugs and kisses to you all.Now lets get down to the nitty gritty.
I am in search of 3 New DT members.
The competition is open to everybody including the old DT members.
The new DT members will be required to be apart of the SC team for at least 6 months and will be announced in late July 2009.
As a design team member your role will be to design layouts, cards and OTP projects using products from the Scrapbook CAPITAL shop for our website. I am looking for creative scrapbook, card, and OTP creators. You will be required to create, try new techniques and be an active participant in our forum and gallery.
You will also be required to have a blog for promoting and advertising.
If you are successful as a Scrapbook Capital Design Team Member you will be required to do the following: • Creating inspiring and unique scrapbook layouts, cards and Off The Page projects. You will need to include a materials list for each project you complete using Scrapbook Capital products. • Becoming a member of the Scrapbook Capital Forum and helping out with cybercrops and challenges • Help out with discussion topics on the Forum
Comment regularly in the gallery • Respond regularly to topics on the forum. As a DT Member you will receive:
New products from the store on a regular basis for you to use solely for the purpose of promoting the stock and the Scrapbook Capital Website. You keep all materials. Completed projects are yours to keep.
A discount on freight for any orders you place through the store as well as a further 20% off already heavily discounted items in addition to items you order.
Design Team Commitment will be 6 months.
Design Team Members will be chosen by Lorrie Mayo, owner of Scrapbook Capital
You can apply for the Scrapbook Capital design team by submitting the following: 1.) A layout, either 12x12 or 8.5x11, single or double, including a minimum of 4 techniques, title and journalling. 2.) A greeting card. Focus on your strengths and what you could bring to the site and forum. Share your ideas and thoughts for promoting your membership as a DT member. As for me and my scrappin ......i have been a bit slowed up this month ...but oh well ya get that some times but here are some of my lay outs this month

this is my wk 5 ......requirements are Brads, Patterned Paper, distressing, punched items and buttons
Wk 6 requirements ....photo corners plus brads, buttons, distressing, diecut or punched item and patterned paper

then over at scrapbudz i did 2 of their mono colour challenges

Then this is the scrapbudz colour challenge ....maroon, white and pale green ....my mojo lead me more towards lime ......but i am happy with the end results

But not with scrap booking ...lol....i have had our eldest daughter, Son in law and their 3 handsome boys visiting for 10 days ...will post pics later ....man i am having fun =) with the little fellas

but on the scrapping front this is my take on the monthly sketch challenge at scrapbook capital ....i am a bit disappointed that i could not ...no matter what angle or the different location could i give this lay out full justice with a pic ....the velvet ribbon is the same hot pink as the cardstock....the black and crystal beads are so shimmery ..and you can hardly see the word adore .....but oh well i was trying to have an abstract arty feel to this lay out .....but i have to say i love the sketch lay out ...and i will be using it again ....my strips say ....BE YOURSELF AND THE WORLD WILL SPIN AROUND YOU

i have used pp from the basic Grey Wisteria range, Basic Grey rhinestone 'wheatgrass'..and Kaiser craft fozz fontz ... i just love this one ...TFL

have use 3 pp from the from the Kraiser Craft "sweets"and fozz felt "butterfly" i have also used one KAISER RHINESTONE FLOURISHES....FLOWER CORNER...and just cut it with my craft knife

This is my take on the Cyber crop challenge set by Janet, it was to do a pic about a mum/ mum figure ....and NO FLOWERS .....wtf!!!....I NEARLY FAINTED WHEN I READ THIS .....but i did get my mojo around it ...and i enjoyed how it turned out =)

this is my take on her second challenge ....was A4, black and white pic, and what influence being a mum or from a mum has had on your life .....my journaling reads ....

you make me smile, like i never knew i could. i have cried for you, i worry so deeply about your souls, You make me laugh so loudly the rest of the world becomes non existent. you warmed my heart with pride which fails to be matched. you are my favourite past time, i love you all so insanely and deeply, there maybe times during life where your choices disappoint me, but this will not adjust the standard of unconditional love that you all have. No matter the future brings you, there will always be room in my bed for a hug, a meal on the table to keep you healthy, a free taxi to get you home safely no matter how far or how late the hour, always a wet washer to wipe you down and rub your tummy when you're sick, the phone will always be ready to hear your voices, i will always have a shoulder for you to cry on. Love to the moon and back. Mum.

It is my birthday on Easter Monday and my ole lover boy has bought me for my birthday a scrap crap rack ....pmsl ....this is a pic that i found on the net except that my rack has 4 drawers on the last 2 shelves that are 12inch by 14 inch ...scrap trained well i would say ......so i am very very happy about this. Also the dividers are removable and the wheels lock. it is about 140cm high, 1m wide and 40cm deep ...just a perfect size ....

Sammi's Shag-a-delic challenge
in MARCH CYBERCROP at http://www.scrapbudz.com/

When i think of the 70's i think of hippies, rainbows flowers and lots of colours

take a piece of ordinary kitchen paper towel

Scrunch it up but try not to twist it

then put rubber bands (or string if you don't have any)but not too tight

then get a glass of water and some water based paints and a spoon

Mix some paint with a small amount of water and stir with the spoon

dip paper into watery paint

roll excess moisture and paint in a spare paper towel

try a couple of colours

then take the rubber band off slowly ...try not to rip your paper towel ....let dry ..then use on your lay out ...good luck girls

Well this is what has been happening at the phatassphairy end of the world

Our daughter has done herself and us proud. Shelby competed in the Far North Queensland Swimming Championship. She won 1 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze medal and got runner up for 15 year old girls ......so big mumma phairy claps to her

Also our son has become a MAN....well in his eyes ....he went fishing with my husband and some other friends and Hayden caught his first barra ....70 cm and proud ...you could not wipe the smile of his face for days .....good on him

Now on to the scrapping front

I went to another one of Annette Card classes at LSS

here are they results ......:( the last one has gone a bit weird with the dimensional magic ...so i am going to pull the words of f and find something better

Firstly Yay to me !!!!!!

I applied for a DT position on this new website http://www.scrapbudz.com.au/ and yay i got the offer to climb on board and join Eve, Janet and ant ...so there it is out of the bag !!!

Well first of all ....it is a very long story ...but i lost a bet ...and if i lost i had to how myself in my birthday suit ....now i went to a retreat with the worlds best group of ladies from http://www.scrapbookcapital.com/ and stayed in Melbourne for a week .....and i went to the fundraiser diner in my birthday suit ...so here it is for all you weirdo's who want to see me in my birthday suit ...lol.

Also i promised some friends that i would post up how i covered some of the kids books for school this year .....i do get some sort of twisted enjoyment out of covering school books ....lol.

this is where i am up to in the scrapping world .....i have done another Cj which i am dying to post up but i can't cause the owner has not seen it yet ...lol..have 2 otp 1/2 done ...and another Cj nearly ready to go ....

Well last year ....i only made 8 cards .......i love cards but mine, well the ones that my brain try to think up look crap to me ......so i have decided that this year i was going to make an effort to make some cards ....but i am getting alot of help from some card guru's ...and these are the ladies that i am going to be stalking to help me out with my berjiggerty mojo when it come to card making ...Sharon Lee, Janet O'Brien, Annette Hanigan and of course Queen of Sheba Fluerie Broughton....but i am already happy with me, i am up to a card telly of 11 for this year ....yay to me ....so i will give you a bit of a share but before i do ....

well i have been a bit busy running around doing back to school cappola. but i had to have a giggle ...grant and i had planned a child free night ..and my MIL gave me a movie voucher back in april 2008 and i have not used it ...decided this was the night ...well bugger me if i am not meant to use this thing ....becuase i am thinking ...great flys in thursday morning ...kids at MIL ...no excuse not to get to the movies ......NOT....can you believe there was a power outage...as in 70 000 homes were out ....so everything was shut !!!!.....oh well maybe next time!!! ((still not sure what caused it missed the news))) but we had a candle lit dinner which was sooooo nice and """you know""" to have our time wirth out the skid lids.

this week only cards .......i haven't put titles on them yet will do that as i use them .....these are from my noisy friend janet =) at scrapbudz, from her online class . The embellies spin as you tilt them, very cute.

Swap Sista

i am looking forward this year as most of you know that i will be doing the swaps for scrapbook capital and we are about to kick off our first one ((budget blues)). Thanks lorrie for being brave and giving me a shot at it . Also Lorrie is running a couple of comps this year that are well worth the look .CYBERCROP QUEEN SEARCH and a new one that she will be launching on WED this week go have a look I DARE YA!!.......I will be giving the CC queen search a bash cause i am already there at most of the CC.....but they have OTP and Card challenges ....which i am not very good at ....i find my mojo struggles in these 2 departments, but i am excited at the push to get me out of my triangle. Sharon and Tracey (the card and OTP design girls)have done up some of the most yummiest things last year and no doubt will give me the oooh and awww by the plentiful this year too. ....I am doing a running comparison between this year and last year ...my goal is to do 100 pages, and 10 OTP, and 20 cards. Also i would dearly love to see one of my pages in one of those mags, so i am going to become active in sending my stuff for consideration for submissions .....so lets see if this big mumma can stick to her plans

I would also like to give a little mention, to Rhonda (AKA Arby) who has slipped into a train driver position over at CD Doodles she is keeping things happening while the head lady is off having a bit of IRL sorting out time. Also thanks to you and Bee for your kind words of encouragement, was very humbling coming from such talented ladies .

To my friend Jax, thank you for your continued kindness and gorgeous friendship.

This lady who had never meet me, last year had me stay at her house in Melbourne. WHAT A BRAVE THING TO DO ........she had no idea the fruit loop she was letting in .lol.. But she has all year sent little RAKS to me which has made me feel nice. I have got a kick so many times this year from her because there is a little prize in my mail .......so i am going to make the effort to pay it forward ...because i want to help make people feel like she has made me ......but the last thing jax has sent me was some cute funky buttons ((((will let you know when i use them )))) and the most beautiful words in a card that had me all sookie la la with her kindness .....thanks kiddo mwhoa.

It has to be mentioned that i think that Lali, Anthea, Jax, Tracey and Lyndall need to stop all this holiday fun ...and get back to the scrap world ...you are missed and i want you back or i will have to chuck a tanty soon ......and on that not ...where is Mel and digi-girl/ Sharon ??? Futhermore Nina hurry up and get that water instructor thing done will you !!!

this is Amanda, Emma and me at our 20 year school reunion ....and i would have to say this would be one of the best nights that i have out in a long time ....we had an absolute ball ...we run a muck like we were 20 years younger .....just the way we did 20 years ago ....i love that these two ladies. I did my canvas I got in and did a bit of spring cleaning of my scrap albums ...and i come across a couple of poppets that i did in a swap last year ......and i have finally mounted them onto 12x 12

and this is one that i swapped back ......i did 4 ...only got 2 back which was a bit sad ......but i am happy with the ones that i got back ......and i can only find one that i sent away (i must of deleted the others .....which is ashame) ......

firstly ....omg ....i won GOLD in the 2nd event of the scrapbooking olympics....i can't believe it ...i am so everything ...humbled excited and gob smacked .....this comp has got some really talented ladies who i have stalked....some for a long time ...some for a short time .....so i have sucked in an honorable ego boost........but anyway time to move on ......

Week three i have done a canvas .......and it is to be kept under lock and key ....until Ole lover gets home and i can show him ......so i am not going to post it . he will be home about the17 th 18th (i think, tooo lazy to get my diary right now)......sorry ladies .....but i am sooo happy with it ........

WELLLL not really literally ....but i got up this morning and felt like i wanted to put myself in someone else shoes .......so i pulled on "hetty's knickers " and tried to scrap something in a style that could be mistaken for a hetty lay out ....what do you think....hetty influence here ????

i love this but you all know that i love "bright'
i have used some stuff on this lay out :) ......3 Kaiser PP from the playtime range(i think), and my handmade embellishment is a mouth out of C/s ...painted it with h2o shimmer paints, tropic embossing poweder,gel pen and fine art niko.......lol....hope you like it ...:)- also have used MME cutouts, MM purple staples, ric rac and ribbon and cord from stash, kaiser bling, MM chipborad letters, texta purple chalk paint pen, mm mini bright pins, FTI felt, little davies paints, dementional magic, bows buttons and flowers from my stash, birch fabric patch MM white rubbons ....and a diet coke lid to give me my circles......hand journalling reads....."At the start of gr3 you were so sad that you had all baby teeth....BUT during 2nd & 3rd term you lost 6 teeth in 6 weeks...tfl

Well here is is .....after 13 hours it S T I L L not finished .......so far has had done outlines, shading, and some colouring done ......still have the waves and flowers to do .....looks a bit bright cause this is less then 24 hours after it has been done .....so it sort of looks abit like paint IYKWIM

i am very happy with me for using up stuff that i would say are way toooo old from my stash ...in each lay out i am trying to use up stuff that just get overlooked .....but not anymore ...i am using the old up before i dive into the new ......lol

but i was very lucky to be a runner up and a monthly winner ...so i have vouchers ......geeez i will have to spend some ......and i got sucked into a 50c paper sale ...which turned into a little splash of cash therapy ........but i have been good considering it is me ..........lol...

in this lay out i have used some more eyelets and that thumbs up paper clip ......lol..i think that has done 3 house moves .........somewhat daggy buttons and some old scraps of paper ....not to mention how old is that blue card stock ...lol....but hey its all gone to good use don'tcha think?????

as you all know i bred a mermaid ......and she was looking over my shoulder asking me why didn't i blog her pics ......good point ......so i will ...

Shelby was very lucky to have had a chance to be training the same session times with some of the olympic swimmers on their way to beijing ........she was smitten for the 2 weeks that they were swimming next to her.......she got them to sign her pillowslip so she can dream with the stars........

well it has been a long time ......and i am getting back to normal in my cyber world .....it took for ever for our net to back up on line ....

i am not going to try and recap the past 7 months .....and the high lights that have gone on .....but continue on with my blog quest to get my ass back into gear with keeping up to date with this thing ......i feel so slack when i see how committed some of my cyber buds are are getting their blogs up to date ...so i think i am aging to make my new pledge to keep this thing updated once a month ........and if i post more well i am doing great ...i think once a month will be manageable (((SURELY...lol))))

i seem to have fallen behind the eight ball on this blog thing....i have truely been out of the scrap world for a bit but i am back in the saddle with a few things buzzing about. this is an album that i bought at a post xmas sale for $25.00 dollars and i just love dragonflies.....it is made of a beautiful Chinese silk with a bit of bamboo on the spine. the pic does not show how the colour shimmers and illuminates depending on the angle of light and has got recycled rough form pages inside the colour of sand.......and i am going to force myself to get out of my comfort zone and scrap some more of me ........Does anyone else hate scrapping your self or seeing pic of yourself.....since doing challenges ..i have crossed this and i am sort of enjoying it ...lol......but that is it for me ........merry xmas and happy new year ..........and my quote for the day is "A MAN CAN NOT DISCOVER NEW OCEANS UNTIL HE HAS THE COURAGE TO LOSE SIGHT OF THE SHORE!!"

i am making brag tags this year or my mum, dad, my inlaws and my sister in law. this is my mum's all finished. i have put a piece of raw leather through the eyelets and have dyed it with the same pigment ink that i have used to do the edges of the tags ........i love them ......

this is the cover and the 3rd page ......the other pages are a bit out of the order as in the 2nd and the 4th are together...they are back to back.......but you get the idea .......

i am half way through my dads and have got the other 2 organised the p/p and card stocks .....they are all going to be the same photo's

this was the most fun i have ever had in doing a scrap layout ever. Breaking The Ice

Well girls i have done it. i have started my own blog. It seems to be the thing to do. So for those who know me thanks for looking in on my daily magic dust. I just love to scrap and i find it is great therapy to relax and clear the mind of daily duties. i really love challenges because for me they often take me out of my comfort zones .......and i love to see what i come up with . Some time i love them and others , well i have looked back on and thought what was i thinking ......But i would never change them.

For those who have not crossed my path and are just having a sticky beak to see what this is about (or me for that matter) i am a pretty chilled out relaxed person and often find that i am the joker in a crowd. i love the sound of laughter and i love to be around happy people. i am happily married with four kids and one grandson, and i wish i could own a hippie van with big pink flowers painted over it......wouldn't that lotto ticket be great.......What would you buy with your share of that lotto ticket?
